I convinced my parents to come see Sherlock Holmes with me while I'm visiting. My mother and I saw the first one on Christmas when it came out, but we realized after watching this one that my father had never seen the first one and wasn't aware there HAD been a first one. He seemed to enjoy it anyway.

I got excited during some of the previews and then had to try to explain to my mother ("This Means War" will be bad, but I'll enjoy it, it's going to be a fangirl vs. fangirl fight, that guy is the new Kirk, and Tom Hardy kind of has his own fandom). And it was my first time seeing the Dark Knight Rises preview! I did not try to explain to my mother that there is already slash about characters no one knows anything about yet.
