Some people on Twitter have been asking for recs to longfic that they can download before potentially losing Internet connection to the hurricane. And I am so not on top of that, but here is a miscellaneous collection of stories I've bookmarked that are long, good, and available for download into ebook formats.

Ok, this process is making me realize that I have so many untagged bookmarks and several amazing fics that I never commented on because they were too good and I had to make up a worthy comment and I never did so they are still untagged and marked "to read" because I am not allowed to tag a bookmark until I comment on the fic. I'm sorry, authors, you blew my mind too hard.

These are stories that were recced in the Inception rewatch chat. I prompted for "most underrated Inception fic" but we quickly strayed from that. I haven't read all of these myself yet. It wasn't exactly a public space that we were in – technically public, but no chat logs, so we could assume we were only talking to the people in the room at the time – so I didn't write down who gave these recs. I'm trying to do to December mini-challenge for kink_bingo (because I am, you know, so timely) by making an Inception rec list covering all 100 kinks on the list. This may have been a little overly ambitious. So I'm still looking for Inception fanworks (mainly fic, art, and podfic, though I'll take anything if you can convince me it's about the kink) centered around these kinks:

Foot/shoe fetish (I know there's a boot worship fic somewhere...)

Suspension (if at all possible I'm trying not to rec my own fic)

One of these is not like the others. I know there's fic out there where someone is held down, I just can't find it since it's not something I tag for in my bookmarks and I looked at more than one with holding down in the prompt that didn't actually have it in the fic!

It's just, that's a lot of 500-word fics for me to write in like 8 days so I have something to rec. On the top of the three I still have to do for my amnesty bingo and the four drabbles I still have for my drabble blackout. Here's a deal: if you can find me the fics or art I'm sure exist for foot/shoe fetish, held down, silence, and soft things, I will rec my existing fics for suspension and (this is a stretch) flogging, and I will attempt to write caning, chastity, genital torture, and tickling, all of which I don't think I'd have a hard time with. I will get lots of coffee and going into wild deadline writing fugue mode.

Ok fandom? Can we do this?

anatsunohas written a couple of posts asking for and listing Inception fandom resources on DreamWidth for people who have recently moved: inception in dth and inception on dreamwidth, 2.

First off, inception is a relatively inactive comm that accepts all kinds of fanwork: fic, art, graphics, podfic, meta, recs. Let's make it active! I don't think the fandom is too big to have one unfiltered community (they have character and pairing tags anyway) and then branch off into more specific ones. I just issued a challenge on Twitter for everyone in the fandom who uses DreamWidth to post their most recent work to inception. If you don't normally think of yourself as a creator, how about posting a rec list of fic, podfic, or art?

If you're interested in modding something, then head over to one of anatsuno's posts and maybe find someone else to partner with you.

A lot of people who were formerly only on LJ have created or started using DW accounts in response to the latest comment kerfuffle. Remember that DW can be joined free without an invite code until the end of the year, and it supports automatic cross-posting to LJ if you want to maintain a presence in both places.
